Common questions about student life

We offer a variety of on-campus housing options including traditional dormitories, suite-style residences, and apartment-style living. All first-year students are guaranteed on-campus housing. Upper-class students can choose from on-campus options or explore nearby off-campus housing with our housing office assistance.

Meal plans are required for all students living in traditional dormitories. We offer flexible meal plan options ranging from 10 to 21 meals per week, plus dining dollars that can be used at our cafes and food trucks. Students in apartments with kitchens can choose optional meal plans.

Undergraduate research opportunities are abundant at Engineering College. Students can join faculty research labs as early as their first year. We offer summer research programs, independent study courses, and senior capstone projects. Visit our Research Office or speak with your academic advisor to explore opportunities in your field of interest.

We provide comprehensive support including academic tutoring, writing center, career counseling, mental health services, disability services, and international student support. Our Student Success Center coordinates all support services and helps connect students with the resources they need to thrive.

Absolutely! We have exchange programs with over 50 universities worldwide. Engineering students can study abroad for a semester or participate in short-term faculty-led programs during winter or summer breaks. Our Global Programs Office helps you find programs that fit your academic plan and career goals.

Our Recreation Center features a fitness gym, swimming pool, basketball courts, rock climbing wall, and group fitness studios. The facility is free for all students and open from 6 AM to midnight daily. We also have outdoor fields for intramural sports and recreational activities.
